About SuperTank International Co.

The TOMAS Family started the domestic water system industry here in the Philippines by accident in 1960 from selling of second hand water pumps coming out from American Bases.

 

            Colossal Merchandising Center, being our Mother Company was one of the first commercial stores in the now famous T. Alonzo Street Sta. Cruz, Manila which are known for Hardware items.

 

            In 1969, Tomas Steel Industries, Inc. was established and pioneered the local manufacturing and marketing of Pressure Tanks here in the Philippines under the brand name TOMSTEEL.

 

            In 1997, Filipinas Tank International Co. was set-up to produce Stainless Steel Water Storage Tanks with technology from Taiwan to address the new and emerging market then.

 

          Filipinas Tank International Co. also imports different products that are in-line with the needs of our customers nationwide such as Pumps, Tanks and its Accessories, Valves, Toilet Fixtures, Heaters, Hand Dyers, Automatic Switches, Generators, Engines, Welding Machines and etc.

 

          Recently, we opened an office and factory at Davao to serve our customers in the South as we continuously improve our company in order to bring better solutions to our VALUED BUSINESS PARTNERS.

 

           Just Recently, our application for a change of name has been granted, and so we are known as SUPERTANK INTERNATIONAL CO.

 

Contribution to the Society

Domestic Water System. The Tomas Family accidentally jump started the Domestic Water System here in the Philippines way back in 1960 when they started selling second hand water pumps and system coming-out of the American Bases under Colossal Merchandising Center along T. Alonzo Street Sta. Cruz, Manila fronting Arranque Market.

Filipino-Chinese Fire Volunteer Brigade. Jump started the Filipino-Chinese Fire Volunteer Brigade in the Year 1963 after a fire broke out at the Arranque Market that is directly in front of the Commercial/Residential of the Tomas Family.

Buffing/Cleaning Cloth. Round rags that is commonly seen being sold by street vendors in practically every comers of our major thorough fare nationwide. This livelihood project was accidentally created when Benito Tomas Sr. makes used of SCRAP GARMENTS years ago when no one are buying them. So from one family to another. Filipinos learned the business of small RAGS.
