A.D. GOTHONG GROUP OF COMPANIES is situated in a 3-hectare compound in Subangdaku, Mandaue City, Province of Cebu, Philippines. It is headed byits founder, Mr. Albino D. Gothong. The compound houses the offices and factories of the following corporations: A.D. GOTHONG MANUFACTURING CORP., ALPA OIL MILL CORP., and A.D. GOTHONG INDUSTRIES CORP.
A.D. GOTHONG MANUFACTURING CORP. was established in 1978 and pioneered in shortening and margarine vegetable shortening under the following brand names: Bambi, Cañon, Alpa and Snowlar. It also manufactures industrial margarine under the brand name BJ, and table margarine under the brand name, Bambi. All these products come in various sizes of excellent quality, and are market leaders in the Visayas-Mindanao areas. Furthermore, it has also started to penetrate the Luzon market. We are the the major and preferred supplier of some of the country's major biscuit companies (REBISCO & NISSIN), and the country's largest franchised bakery chain, JULIE's, among others.
ALPA OIL MILL CORP. was established in 1989, mainly to supply the vegetable oil requirements of its sister company, ADGMC. Since then, it has outgrown its original purpose, and is now a major player in the cooking oil industry through its popular product brands BAMBI, ALPA and BJ. it has doubled its copra milling capacity from an original 100 tons to its current capacity ot 200 tons per day, producing crude coconut oil and copra cake. Its refinery is considered one of the most modern in the country using ALFA-LAVAL Continuous Physical refining technology, producing refined oil of export quality standards. It is also the first in the cooking oil industry to pack its products in 40ml and 80 ml sachets (called TIPID PACKS). Aside from the cooking oil, AOMC also manufactures laundry soap under the brand names ALPA and OK!. Its products are marketed all over Visayas-Mindanao regions, but has also started to carve a name in the Luzon market.
A.D. GOTHONG INDUSTRIES CORP. was organized in 1998, for the main purpose of supplying the plastic container requirements of its sister companies, ADGMC and AOMC. it is currently manufacturing plastic containers of various sizes: 60 liters jerrican pails, 5 gallon carbouys, 1 gallon bottles, 1/2 gallons bottles, 1 liter bottles, and 350 litter bottles. It acquired its blow-moulding, injection-moulding, and pelletizing machineries from the People's Republic of China and Taiwan, ROC.
To handle the sales and marketing of the group's products, BAMBI MARKETING CORP. was established. It maintains offices in downtown Cebu, Manila and Davao, in order to more efficiently service the needs of its valued customers. Thus, A.D.
